Replacing the hydraulic oil in a hydraulic lift platform involves many important details. So what should you pay attention to?
When adding oil, the hydraulic oil must be filtered through a proper pump, and the oiling tools must be reliably clean. After long-term use, impurities and sediments may accumulate in the oil, so regular replacement is necessary—generally once every six months. Drain all the old oil, tighten the filler cap to seal the tank, clean the tank, dry it with compressed air, then refill with new oil and reconnect all lines.
Do not remove the filler port filter to speed up the oil flow. Personnel adding oil must wear clean gloves and work clothes to prevent dirt or contaminants from entering the hydraulic system. When disassembling the hydraulic oil tank cover, filter cover, inspection ports, oil pipes, or other components that expose internal parts of the hydraulic system, ensure all parts are thoroughly cleaned before opening. The oil tank must be flushed with the same type of hydraulic oil used in the system. The oil temperature should be between 45°C and 80°C, and high flow rates should be used to flush out contaminants from the system.

Maintenance Methods for Hydraulic Lift Platforms:
Lubricate all moving parts with grease to extend the life of bearings. Regularly inspect rollers, intermediate shafts, bearings, cylinder pins, arm joints, and other critical components for wear.
Always relieve pressure in the hydraulic system before working on it to prevent high-pressure oil spray and accidental lowering of the lift table.
Operators must not adjust the relief valve arbitrarily. Every component in the hydraulic system operates under a specified pressure, and unauthorized adjustments may cause system failure.
When servicing under the lift platform, it must be properly supported to prevent accidental descent.
Non-professionals must not disassemble electrical components to avoid the risk of electric shock or incorrect wiring.
If the motor temperature rises excessively during operation, stop immediately and inspect for faults before resuming. Motor bearings should be lubricated regularly.
Inspect the quality of hydraulic oil monthly. If the oil appears dark, sticky, or has an unusual odor, it must be replaced immediately.
The working temperature of hydraulic oil should be between -20°C and 50°C. If the oil is too hot, use oil with higher viscosity.
Replace the hydraulic oil every six months. Each time you change the oil, thoroughly clean the tank before refilling with new oil. Always use the same model/type of hydraulic oil; do not mix different types. Regular oil replacement is a key method to extend the service life of your hydraulic lift platform.
