Recently, we customized a vertical reciprocating conveyor lift (VRC) for a client in Shanghai.
The client is in the beverage and liquor industry and needs to frequently move palletized goods from the ground floor to the second-floor warehouse. To meet this need, we supplied a VRC combined with a roller conveyor system.
Workflow:
Pallets are placed on the entry roller conveyor
Forklifts or upstream conveyor systems load the beverage pallets onto the ground-floor roller conveyor.
The presence of pallets is detected by photoelectric sensors.
Roller conveyor transfers pallets onto the lift platform
Once detected, the rollers automatically run, moving the pallets into the designated position on the lift platform.
The system stops precisely when the pallet is in place.
Lift platform raises to the second floor
The VRC activates and lifts the pallet to the second-floor warehouse.
The lifting process includes limit switches, interlocked doors, and safety fencing to ensure secure operation.
Pallet is rolled out to the upper roller conveyor
Once the platform reaches the target level, the upper-level rollers run automatically to transfer the pallet to the outbound conveyor.
A forklift retrieves the pallet from this point.
Lift platform returns to the ground floor
After unloading, the platform descends back to the first floor, ready to receive the next load.
The cycle repeats for continuous and efficient operation.
